Interactive Wall - Rideau Center

Implemeting 4 Kinects with one computer is very tricky and having done this with Max/MSP was no walk in the parc either. However, I was able to program + intergate a 360 degree experience for MASSIVART. I helped with both the integration as well as daily maintenance for it's duration at the Rideau Center Shoppping Mall.

DIAGONALES – Mclaren Mur à Mur

Another creative opportunity from Iregular, I assisted with the programming and development of a multi channel input tracking system using max/MSP, and 16 channel mixers. We were able to triangulate the position of people's interactions... We used 16 contact mics and located where things were happening by following amplitude.

NUCLEUS

Hired by Iregular, I was tasked with programming a sound engine in max/MSP and was onsite to help install and integrate the dual-kinect custom ineractive solution. I also helped maintain the game throughout the event.

THE CAVE

I devised some lighting solutions for Iregular, -a Montreal based creative studio. Using only a limited number of varying sized light strips, I measured out and mapped the installation of physical lighting placements for a live VJ mapping festival in Geneva, Switzerland

SURFACE EFFECTS

"After all, it is we who adapt to the machine. The machine does not adapt to us." ~Friedrich Kittler.

Without really knowing what we were making, the team endeavored to create an all-in-one a multi-user interactive space using two projectors, Max/MSP, 1 Kinect v1, and some Arduinos and potentiometers. The result was an ever-evolving user controlled environment and state-machine. At its core, there was no purpose to its production- The sole reason we made this was to learn, and we did. As a team, there wasn't much we wanted to "show" our "make you feel" -collectively we sought to focus on advancing our technical knowledge and decided to see what comes naturally. Using technology, we transformed a small and otherwise boring space into a playful and engaging environment.

CHAINFOREST

“CHAINFOREST” is an interactive audio-sculptural installation. Incorporating trees, stumps and branches, chains, saw dust, loud machinery noises, and for contrast, some peaceful birdsongs. The goal of our user interaction is to get our users to stop the noise, to stop the machines… and hence allow the songs of the birds to be heard again…
